See this pic of the leveret. Hares have about 2 to 3 leverets in a litter but distribute them around the fields to keep them safe from predators, at least some may survive. Isn't he cute!

New venture a blog for Rains Farm!
Hi this blog is a new venture for me at Rains Farm Holidays. We have the most stunning setting deep in beautiful North Yorkshire close to the North York Moors, Heritage Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds. We have 7 acres and in the midst of glorious countryside. Birds and wildlife treat our farm as a little oasis in the midst of farmland. Its heaven! A doe hare had one of her leverets hidden amongst the flowers in a brick trough in our courtyard. That's amazing as they are so shy normally but they trust us and we them.
